Women's tennis opens week with 6-1 loss to USC Aiken

GREENWOOD – The Lander women's tennis team dropped its first of three Peach Belt Conferene matches this week, falling to USC Aiken by a 6-1 margin on Tuesday afternoon at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center. 

Lander (5-11, 0-4 PBC) avoided a shutout as Isabella Schulz picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win at the No. 2 singles spot, making the Bearcats the first unranked team to score on the Pacers (12-1, 4-1 PBC) in four matches. 

The Bearcats return to action Saturday when they play host to North Georgia at home at 12:30 p.m.
