Lander volleyball drops two games at King Invitational

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Lander volleyball team dropped to 3-7 overall Saturday afternoon after dropping a pair of matches at the King College Invitational. Lander lost to Queens, 25-14, 23-25, 17-25, 25-18, 15-12, then fell to King College, 25-17, 18-25, 25-12, 25-20.

In the first game against Queens, Kaitlyn Harrison led the way with 17 kills and 15 digs, while Jessica Register had 40 assists and 13 digs, Kiki Hennesey 12 kills, Sarah Bradley 19 digs, and Madison Kubal 10 digs

Queens was led by Lindsey Everhart (17 kills), Keri Kemp (15 kills), Elizabeth Bialkowski (13 kills) Taylor Riley and Jocelyn Kellinger (21 digs each), McKenzie Martin (15 digs), Erin Mooney (14 digs) and Brittney Barren (12 digs).

Against King, Harrison had 13 kills and 11 digs, Tarryn Angermeier 12 kills, Hannah Dederick 10 kills, Register 35 assists, Kubal 17 digs, Bradley 12 digs and Hennessey 10 digs.

King was led by Summer Kremer (16 kills, 10 digs), Olivia Underwood (23 assists), Heather Harvey (14 assists, 11 digs), Payton Tipson (18 digs), Brooke Calhoun (11 digs), and Lauren Willoughby (10 digs).
